Our Axle-back exhaust systems reduce back pressure and allow spent exhaust gasses to exit more quickly allowing a cleaner charge of fuel and air into the engine cylinders for enhanced combustion.
Using high quality, thick wall 409 stainless steel, mandrel bent free flowing tubing and chambered muffler construction, the Legato Performance Axle back Exhaust will outlast your Mustang. Topped by our signature Legato Performance 304 highly polished stainless steel, double wall tips, your Mustang will not only sound terrific, but look great. Adjustable hanger rods allow for perfect fitment to Mustang rear valance openings.
The easy to install axle back system uses the factory hanger mounts making the total time from removal of your stock system to installation of the Legato Performance Axle-back exhaust approximately a one-hour job for even the most novice enthusiast. Our kits come complete with all of the hardware you will need to install the system in your driveway, at home with simple hand tools – we are that confident of our design.

Installation
Legato Performance exhaust systems come complete with everything you need to install the system on your vehicle including detailed instructions, tubing, mufflers and clamps. Our systems work with the factory hanger designs and will easily replace the stock system meaning you can install the complete system in your driveway using simple hand tools. In most cases, no cutting of the factory exhaust is required because the Legato kit connects to the factory exhaust where natural breaks occur. If no break is present, a hacksaw to cut the tubing and a metal file to dress any sharp edges should be used.

I had these on my previous mustang loved the old school sound so I replaced my roush system still sounds great.Up there with the top brands and the price was great.A little blemish on the chrome tips but not a big deal.

I had to weld the exhaust pipe ball to the muffler pipe. It turned out great. They sound great with a deep tone. There is some drone but not bad..but when you kick it...wow. Legato Performance should really start custom fits for v6 mustangs.
Sounds just like my buddies American thunder mufflers. But for alot less
I was worried about the low price and new name but I was very happy after starting it up first time after the install. Sounds great, well made and no drone. Would definitely recommend.
